Condolence: I didn’t know Jim well but my mother, Susannah Crassweller (Bishop) was his cousin and I saw Jim over the years at various family events. I got to know him best when I stayed the weekend with him several years ago when I came to Brantford to represent the Leonard family at the Brantford high school when they were honouring Ruben Leonard at the schools anniversary celebration. I enjoyed the weekend with him immensely as he showed me around Brantford and took me to his golf club for dinner. A wonderful host.
Jim was a wonderful man; warm, engaging, intelligent and just so nice. My condolences go out to the family. I am sure he will be missed.

The man behind my family’s move to Brantford, the doctor behind my surgical scars, the gentle giant with the fabulous eyebrows, and an old-school gentleman.

The deliverer of special ice cream for my boys, and the man who taught them to shake hands with him when they saw him.

To say he will be missed is an understatement, he has been a part of our lives for as long as I can remember.
