MODESTY, Michael Craig “Mod” - It is with deep sadness and broken hearts, that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael in his 62nd year, on March 1st 2021. Now reunited with his much loved sister Kim (2013), his beloved parents Ken and Maxine (2017) and his father in law, best friend and frequent golf partner Jack (2019). He will be profoundly missed by his loving wife of 33 years Jodie Sevier. Michael was a proud and loving father of 2 sons, Nathan and Jason and was idolized by his daughter Jacqualyn. Mike was a cherished Papa of Ethan and Addison and will be dearly missed by their mother Paige. Michael leaves behind his big brother Ken and sister in law Robyn as well as his mother in law Sherril Sevier and many nieces and nephews. Mike had a large, close knit family and many close friends and in his absence we will see the true value of his presence. Mike worked for several years at KeepRite where he made and maintained a multitude of friendships. Michael was an avid sportsman. He loved fishing and music and being outdoors. Mike was a loyal and caring friend to many. He was a passionate family man and enjoyed cooking, quite often combining the two to entertain his large circle of family and friends. The family wishes to thank Michael’s team of doctors and nurses from UHN for their hard work and effort to give Michael the kind of life he so wanted and deserved. Special thanks to Dr. Filio Billia and LVAD nurse Helen Zhang. A private family celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 10th, 2021 from 2pm to 4pm at TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, by invitation only due to COVID-19 restrictions. The service will be available by live stream at 2:30pm should you wish to attend, and can be viewed through Mike’s memorial page on the funeral home website. It was Michael’s wish that in lieu of flowers donations be made to a fund in his memory to support the work of Dr. Filio Billia at the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation.
