With her loving husband by her side, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on July 16, 2020, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife to Marvin of 58 years. Loving mother to Greg, Jeff (Dianne) and Barb (Jerry) Draper. Proud Nana to Brandon, Chantel, Hannah, Ben, & Jackson, and Great-Nana to Brooklyn, Ciara, Nathan & Naiya. Eldest child of the late Harley and Barbara Peterson, sister to David (France) Peterson and Shirley (Ralph) Graves and special cousin to Nancy Hughey, all of Fredericton, NB. Enjoying a wonderful clerical career, Carol was a dedicated employee and devoted friend whose relationships created with co-workers continued decades beyond her working years. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ and singing in the church choir. She also loved to knit, evident by all of the wonderful clothing, blankets and Christmas stockings that will be cherished by her loved ones for generations to come. Carol & Marvin travelled to her hometown of Fredericton, NB annually after he swept her off her feet and whisked her away to Ontario nearly 60 years ago. In retirement, they also enjoyed 20 years wintering in Myrtle Beach. Shopping and golfing in the warm South Carolina sun were always at the top of their daily agendas, and Happy Hour was the perfect time to reflect on good times with great friends. Carol was loved and respected by all who knew her, and will be dearly missed by many. Special thanks to Dr. Hadley, Dr. Gladstone, nurse Tracy Stachera and all of the Bayshore nurses for their wonderful care over the last several months. A private funeral service will be held, followed by a celebration of Carol’s life at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to TOLL FUNERAL HOME In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Messages of condolence may be left at

I'm so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. She was a great lady who loved to care for and spoil her family. She did have a feisty side, I can remember the day Marvin and I stopped for a beverage(s) on our way back to their place for supper and we were late ....... our supper went into the garbage lol!!! Great memories, you all have them .... hold on to them, I'm sure that's what she would want. It's never easy.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all,
Sheila xo
