Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the Brantford General Hospital, on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Hagopian (2002). Dear sister of Margo Darderian Lapides of New York, USA and aunt of Harry Lapides. Lucy was predeceased by her brothers George (Eileen) and Jack (Anna) Darderian. Lucy is also survived by her nephew Paul (Marlene) Darderian and their 5 grandchildren as well as her first cousins in the Gobelian family, Mayda Oskan and Matilda and their families. Lucy was an accomplished beautician for many years and after her retirement she devoted her time to servicing the community in various aspects which included volunteering at the Brantford General Hospital and participation in Probus. A Funeral Service will be held at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A private interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Brantford. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lucy can be made to Grace Anglican Church.
