Obituary for Glen Raymond Dawes

DAWES, Glen Raymond – passed away peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday, January 20, 2017, at the age of 94. Predeceased by his beloved wife Phyllis (nee: Woodworth) (1983) and his children Shirley Ballard (2011), her husband Donald (2004) and his son Wayne Dawes (2012). Cherished father of Glenna Houliston and Barbara and her husband Frank Del Signore. Proud papa of Dean (Lisa) Houliston, Darrin (Peggy Anne) Ballard, Shawn (Tanya) Dawes, Jamie Dawes & Marcel Elgar and Ann Marie (Rod) Lewis, Michael (Terri) Del Signore, Paul Del Signore & Jessica Del Signore (T.J. Fergus). Great grandfather of Andrew & Carlea, Bianca, Brooke-Lynn, Adele & Charlee, Brayston, Taeh & Cali, and Ava. Glen will be missed by many extended family members. Glen served overseas in the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII with the 45th Division and was a retiree of Canada Post. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed many outdoor activities. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service held in the chapel on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. Entombment will take place at Mt.
