Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 with her loving family by her side at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre in her 95th year. Beloved wife of Arthur Rowsom, predeceased by her first husband George Reed (1999). Loving mother of Mary (Gord) Reed, John (Sherry) Reed, Ruth Ann (Doug) Colling and Susan Browaty. Step-mother of Wayne (Susan) Rowsom, Gerry (Leslie) Rowsom, Jayne Dinsmore (nee Rowsom) and Angela (Francis) Owens-Rowsom. Predeceased by step-daughter Lynda Rowsom (2016). Proud grandmother of Kimberley (Mark) Portelli, Adam (Tracy) Reed, Todd (Cathy) Colling, Scott (Jessica) Colling, Crystal (Dave) Allen and John Moorecroft. Dear great-grandmother of 13. Will also be missed by extended grandchildren Tracy (Brett) Borden-Rowsom, Todd (Kim) Rowsom, Trent (Timea) Rowsom, Jason Rowsom, Rebecca Lowe and Tom, Tiamma Prince, Sarah Dinsmore, Breena Hogan and Keisha and Kaya Owens and 15 extended great-grandchildren. Jean’s family meant everything to her, she is also survived by her brother Charles (Beatrice) Dafoe and predeceased by her sister Marion Salmon. The family is grateful to the staff at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre for their kindness over the past year. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Robert Lawson officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Jean can be made to a charity of your choice.
