Surrounded by her family, Yvonne passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the BGH Palliative Care Unit. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband Ted (Edward) Keene in 1976. Beloved partner to Doug Russell. Dear mother of Larry (Lorna), Randy, Jeff (Patricia), Gloria, Mark (Cathi), Paul (Marianne), Sandra (Scott) Pickard & Karen (Chris) Alonzo. Sister-in-law to Sandra Mitchell & Terry (Kathleen) Russell. Dear grandmother to Michael (Sharon), Justin (Abigail), Steven (Sarah), Christopher, Brandon, Heather, Sherri, Jodie, Joshua, Clayton, Mitchell, Ann-Marie, Jennifer, Stephanie (Jason), Sean, Nikki Alonzo and 10 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Harold & Evelyn Mitchell and her brother Richmond. Yvonne was an active member of the Laureate Gamma Beta Sorority and longtime employee of Calbeck/Sobeys until she retired. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Please come and join us on August 12th, 2016 to “Celebrate her Life” at the Brantford Navy Club, 54 Wadsworth St. Brantford, ON. from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Lunch will be served. In lieu of flowers a donation to the BGH Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or Charity of your choice would be appreciated.
