Obituary for
Mary Marguerite "Peggy" Jewer
Passed away peacefully with courage and strength, at the Brantford General Hospital surrounded by her loving family, in the early morning hours of Thursday April 14, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife and best friend of Edward (Ted) Jewer for 65 wonderful years. Cherished Mother of Dawn (Hal) Sinclair, Terry (Michael) Lawson and her loving son Kim. Survived by her brother John (Rita) Harker, sister Joan (John) Kotlar and her step siblings, Linda, Mary-Lou, Marilyn, Heather, Herbert and David. Peggy will always be the proudest Nanny to her much loved 9 grandchildren, Jason, Amanda (Nathan), Melissa (Todd), Tanya, Tiffany, Danielle, Melanie, Nicholas (Courtney) and Jeffrey (Kari), as well as 10 great- grandchildren. She was an amazing and truly passionate grandmother and great-grandmother that adored and worshipped each grandchild and great- grandchild beyond words. Her never ending love and affection paled in comparison to the pride she displayed by the very mention of your names. Her love for you all would be reflected in the brightest, most amazing smile that would light the world and warm your heart. Peggy is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her Father Herbert, Mother Marguerite and brother Billy. She will be sadly missed by many friends, but most of all Sylvia (Leo) Janes. Words could never express our appreciation for such a long, warm and compassionate friendship. Our family could never repay your kindness and love, so from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so very much. Peggy’s family will be eternally grateful for the love and support of the staff of the palliative care unit of the BGH, you were wonderful. Lastly, a very special thank you to Linda Cameron, for your care and compassion. As expressions of sympathy donations in Peggy’s memory to the SPCA, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. In accordance to Peggy’s wishes cremation has taken place. Friends will be at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street Brantford, on Monday April 25 from 1 to 2 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m.
