Obituary for Harold Douglas "Doug" Johnson

Doug left this earth peacefully and with dignity at 88 years of age on Wednesday June 17th, 2015. He was pre-deceased by both his first wife Ruth and second wife Rita as well as his brother Ross and sister Doris. Doug also leaves behind his sons Murray (Joan), Walter (Robin), Bruce (Barb), and daughters Vicki Gojanovich (Michael), and Michele Cohoon (Joe). Also surviving are Doug’s sister Ruth, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
At the age of 17 Doug enlisted in the Canadian Army, infantry, second division, 5th Artillery and went overseas to serve his country. When he returned from the war he went to work for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce with whom he remained all of his working life with many years as a manager.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of a life well lived for family and friends at the Brantford Golf and Country Club on Wednesday July 22nd from 7-9 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford. www.dennistoll.ca
