Obituary for Mary Lu Featherston
Peacefully at Parklane Terrace on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Mary Lu Featherston (nee Dearsley) in her 93rd year. Beloved wife for 67 years of the late Thomas Herbert Featherston. Loved mother to Carol, Brent, Dean and his wife Carolyn. Pre-deceased by a daughter Debra. Loved grandma to James, Daniel, William and Michael. Great grandma to Keeliana and Katerina.
Mary Lu was an active member in all aspects of the Salt Springs community. She served for over 50 years with the Paris Agricultural Society, including as President of the Homemaking Division in 1979 and 80. Mary Lu was a mentor, friend and guiding light to her nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as to many local friends and their children. She had many good friends with whom she greatly appreciated spending quality time.
She lived a good life; she will be missed.
The family would like to thank the staff of Sunrise Court at Parklane Terrace for the care and compassion shown to Mary Lu.
