Obituary for Lois Carolyn Minshall

It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Lois Minshall on Thursday, December 23, 2021 after a 7 year long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 79 years old. Loving wife of 58 years to Dennis. Beloved mother to Jeff (Jeanette) and Lisa Coleman (Paul). Cherished grandmother to Brittany Coleman, Scott Coleman (Jasmine) and Thomas Coleman. Devoted Neema to Tenley and Adalyn Sheedy. She is also survived by her sister Linda Stewart (Russ), brothers Rick (Chris) and Keith (Irene), brother-in-law Rick Ham, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Dora and Robert Emmett, sister Sharon Ham, brother Doug (Ruth).

Born and raised in Brantford, Lois was a Registered Nurse for 40 years. She worked at the Brantford General Hospital where she loved her time in the Emergency Department. She loved travelling with Dennis and managed to take 55 trips abroad. One of her favorite memories was tandem sky diving in Cuba. She enjoyed swimming, dancing, golfing, tennis and table tennis. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, on Wednesday, December 29 from 6:00 to 8:00pm and Thursday, December 30 from 10:00 to 11:30am. Service to follow at 11:30 in the chapel. Due to Covid restrictions, please RSVP for either visitation or service through Lois’ memorial page at tollfh.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois’ memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 25 Bell Lane, Brantford, ON, N3T 1E1.

She will be dearly missed. Forever in our hearts.
