It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bernardino Imola announce his passing on December 11, 2021 at the John Noble Home in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Giuseppina Imola. Cherished father of Frank and Carol Imola and Loui and Nancy Imola. Loved by his grandchildren Chistina Imola, Roberta and Michael Young, Sonya and Andrew MacLachlan, Amanda and Peter Graham, Kimberley Imola, and Taylor and Bob Young. Greatly missed by his great-grandchildren Alexandra, Mason, Carter, Gregory, Delilah, Evan, Madison, Natalie, Isabella and Tenley. Beloved brother of Orazio and Luisa Imola. Brother-in-law of Caterina Imola, Elena Rega (Italy), Mario and Lina Berardi and Luigi and Paola Berardi. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends both in Canada and Italy. Predeceased by his parents, Stefano and Maria-Giuseppa Imola, his infant son, Alessandro, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Antonio and Assunta Berardi, his brothers, Antonio and Giovanni, his sisters Assunta Berardi, Giuseppina Magni, Francesca Fiorini and Maria Imola, his brothers-in-law Pietro Berardi, Lorenzo Magni, Antonio Fiorini, Armando Berardi, Mario Rega and Gino Berardi, and his sisters-in-law Carlotta Imola and Norma Berardi. Bernardo immigrated from Italy to make a better life for his family. He worked for many years at Keeprite and was a proud member of the St. Rocco Association. He enjoyed his last annual hunting trip in 2019. He was happiest in his garden, playing cards with his friends, surrounded by his family and enjoying a plate of pasta and a glass of wine with whoever would join him. Family and friends will be received at the Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. Proof of vaccination is required to attend. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Parish Church, 133 Murray Street, Brantford on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
