Obituary for Kari-Anne Michelle Wills

Wills, Kari Anne
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kari-Anne Michelle Wills on Monday, December the 6th, 2021. Born December 19th, 1971, Kari-Anne was born in Simcoe, and grew up in Brantford where she attended BCI high school. Loving mother of Mateya Wills (Dakota) and missed by her partner Tom Gecas. Beloved Daughter of William (Bill) Wills (Jayne) and the late Wanda Zaleski. Cherished by her Step Father Jerry Zaleski, her sisters Tina Smith (Andy), Yvonne Zaleski, Tracy Hie (Randy), and her brothers William (Billy) Wills (Angela) and Jason Hie. She was also blessed by many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Kari-Anne touched many people throughout her lifetime her favourite thing to do was to be surrounded by her family and friends and share her love of food. She was a devout member of her church, The Followers of Christ, where she enjoyed volunteering for Breakfast Clubs feeding local children. Kari-Anne was an exceptional artist and cook. She has always loved being a girly girl, making sure her nails were painted, her hair and makeup were done, and that she had one of her favourite outfits on. You would never see her without a can of Coca Cola in her hand.
Kari-Anne was involved in a fatal accident caused by poor weather conditions in South Walsingham while on shift driving school bus. We would like to express how much she loved her job and all the children she interacted with on a day-to-day basis, and how thankful Kari-Anne would have been that no one else was involved in this incident. The family would also like to extend our gratitude to all the first responders who attended the scene.
Friends and Family will be received at TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford for a visitation which will be open to the public with proof of vaccination, on Monday, December the 13th from 11:00am to 2:00pm, followed by a private reception and ceremony for her close friends and family. For those who are unable to attend in person, the ceremony will also be shared as a stream online. Donations in her memory may be directed to the Followers of Christ Church.
