Obituary for Clyde Douglas Stephenson

Clyde Douglas Stephenson passed away peacefully in his 90th year on October 12th, 2021 with his family by his side. He was the loving and devoted husband to his wife Dona Stephenson for over 65 years and he will be dearly missed. Lovingly remembered by his children Vicki (Gord) Allison, Cam (Heather) Stephenson and Dave (Joan) Stephenson, his grandchildren Rob Allison (Sarah Jean), Christie Roach (Marty), Elise Oxford (Jeff), Matt Stephenson (Paige), Craig Stephenson (Christina), Blake Stephenson (Carolyn) and Connor Stephenson, and 9 great grandchildren.

Clyde was the youngest of 8 children and a twin to his sister Mildred. After a 9 year career with Ontario Hydro, he served his home town of Brantford for 30 years on the Police Department, retiring as an Inspector. He was fond of several sports and played baseball, hockey, bowling, sailing but loved playing golf.

Visitors will be received at the Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday October 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. In keeping with capacity restrictions, please RSVP for the visitation by going to the Toll Funeral Home website, www.tollfh.ca, then to Clyde’s memorial page and clicking on the blue RSVP button. Cremation has already taken place. Clyde will be laid to rest with Dona at Mount Hope Cemetery.
