SAWIN, Carol Ruth (previously Nichols Bartosek) – it is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Carol Sawin on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Fox Ridge Care Community. Carol was in her 85th year. Loving mother of Ruth Anne (Terry) Stortz, Rex (Dianne), Neville and the late Eric. Grandma Carol to Jocelyn, Shane, Nathan (Lisa), Noel and Ryan (Marisa). She was also blessed with six great grandchildren Kalem, Conner, Rylyn, Sophia, Evan and Alex. Carol is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Clara Henwood and her siblings Ron Henwood, Barb Cowling and Bob Henwood. A sincere thank you to the staff of both Fox Ridge Care Community and Park View Retirement Home, for the compassionate care they gave to Carol. Family was everything to Mom, along with a rousing game of euchre. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street.
