Patsy (Pat) Marie Ashton, (67), passed away suddenly on April 19th, 2021 in her home. She was the widow of William (Bill) Ashton. They shared 33 years of marriage together. Born in Seaforth, ON she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Ina Staffen, and sister to Elizabeth Simon (Bob). She was a member of several Brantford dart leagues for many years. She was an avid reader and skilled in crochet and knitting. She enjoyed challenging herself with complicated knit patterns and puzzles. She enjoyed being at the baseball field watching her grandchildren, son and daughter-in-law play in their leagues. Patsy is survived by her son William Eric Ashton and his spouse Mandie Ashton; her daughter Sandy Marie Ashton and her spouse Trevor Pettitt; her much loved grandchildren Madison, Faythe, Trinity, and Tristan, as well as her beloved cats Jaws and Freckles. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family would kindly ask that a donation be made in Patsy's memory to the Brantford SPCA and/or the Arnold Anderson Sport Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, Ontario. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a memorial service for Patsy will be held at a later date.
