A keen Irish sense of humour is a trait definitely inherited and shared within the Mundie family.
Our Mother, Helen, and her brother, Duke (Sr), enjoyed a spirit of fun throughout their lives. At one Mundie Christmas, Helen wrapped up the most pungent Limburger cheese she could find and 'gifted' it to Duke. I don't know the significance of that cheese, but everyone had a great laugh, with Duke entertained the most. Young, impish Ian sensing this would be fun and wanting to get in on the act, mischievously wrapped up some onions from their basement for Helen, knowing she did not like onions. At the next Mundie family gathering, Ian proudly presented his 'gift' to Auntie Helen. The tables were turned, and the joke was on Ian when Helen opened up a bag of Gladiolus bulbs!
Ian's miscalculated caper was a good laugh shared for many years. Ian had to wear it, which he did quite proudly.
On other occasions Ian's pranks enjoyed considerably more success, but this episode showed he was a good sport, and shared our family's sense of fun.
Ian was quite a guy - he will be deeply missed.

Dear Caroline, Brandon, Ryan and Cat:

Words seem to too small to express the sadness we feel about Ian's passing. Its tragic and sad.

I will miss my brother terribly. We shared so many moments....growing up in St. George...playing catch in the back's with cousins. Our families shared time together celebrating life special moments...birthday parties, anniversaries...cottage time and some time on the golf course! I admired my big brother and his devotion to his family.

Our sincere condolences to you.

Brian and Donna
