Sylvia was born on March 16, 1928 in Falls City, Texas; granddaughter of Anton Urbanczyk , one of the pioneers of the first Polish settlement in North America . In Hamilton with her husband, she was a dedicated mother who provided for, protected and lovingly raised her children. In her later years, she and her husband Bill moved to the Ancaster farm where they enjoyed true happiness. Always up for an outing -the smallest things were an adventure. We have so much to be grateful for. We thank the caring and kind staff at St Joseph's Lifecare Centre who looked after her for the last 5 years and Reina, her personal caregiver. Arrangements have been made at Toll Funeral Home for a private service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Sylvia may be made to St Joseph’s Lifecare Foundation, Alzheimer Society of Canada, or a charity of your choice.

We will always remember some words from one of her favourite songs ,

“Yes they’ll all come to meet me ,arms reaching smiling sweetly ,

It’s good to lay ‘neath the green green grass of home.”
