It is with heartfelt sorrow the family announces the passing of Foster Mordue at the Brantford General Hospital on November 10th, 2020 in his 91st year. Devoted and loving husband of the late Gladys Campbell (1985) and the late Frances “Sanie” Millar (2019). Loving father of Wayne (Vera), Daryl (Shelley) and Lori. Loving Grandpa/Pa of his grandchildren Cassandra, Nicole, Kaylee, Sarah, Felicia and Loretta. Loving brother of Jeanne (Bruce) Knight. Predeceased by his parents Charles Mordue and Beatrice McCauley and brother Glenford. He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Foster was a true farmer and loved working on the land. He was proud and passionate in his leadership roles with the County of Brant Onondaga Volunteer Fire Dept. for 38 years. Foster will always be remembered wearing a smile while driving his Fords and International/Farmall tractors. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Riverview Terrace for their care and support. Family and friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross, Brantford Tuesday, November 17th 2 to 5 p.m. (Masks or face coverings are mandatory and social distancing protocols will be in place). A private service will take place. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, Stedman Community Hospice or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

Daryl, Lori and the Mordue Family,
Please accept our deepest condolences in the loss of Foster, our famlilies go back many years as Foster and Murray started as friends in Onondaga public school and continued through out their lives as friends, and working together on the fire departments before retiring. There are many fond memories of Foster through out the years.

Barbara Thompson and family.

Lori, Daryl, Wayne and family, we send our Love and our deepest sympathy for the loss of your Dad. Foster was a kind and gentle man with a smile that could light up a room. We feel honoured to have known him and called him family. We hope the wonderful memories of Dad/Pa will ease some of your pain. We remember the early days fondly and will treasure the times we gathered for the Morgue Reunion on New Year's Day.
Sincerely, Marjorie & Claude Lazenby, Nancy and Dale Anderson, Sharon and John Cole and family

My family sends their condolences to Wayne, Daryl and Lori and their families at this incredible loss. From a very young age, I learned how special Foster was both from my direct experience and from the obvious esteem that my parents held for Foster. He was my mother’s cousin, but he was an exceptional good friend to my father and my uncles Jack and Doug. My father taught me about growing into a man by relating anecdotes and stories about Foster to me. Foster was a study in contrast, where he could use his amazing strength to also be gentle with family and his animals. His brutal practical jokes told you that he liked you. Foster was an icon among men, and many of us are blessed to have known him. Thank you Foster.
