Gone home to be with his Lord and the family of God, passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital (Barrie, Ontario) on October 12th, 2020 in his 89th year. Jack was born in Heeg, Netherlands on November 16, 1931 and emigrated to Canada in 1957 after having served 6 years in the Royal Netherlands Navy air service. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years Cornelia (nee Forster). Loving father of David, Peter (Maggie) and Robert. Also loving father of Ivonne Tawaang in the Netherlands. Predeceased by his older brother Durk Reijenga (Tiny). Deeply loved and missed by his younger brother and lifelong closest friend Ray (Paulette). Cherished Opa of Craig, Mark, Jenna, Tyler, Christian, Martin and Robert. Cherished uncle to 12 nieces and nephews and a proud great grandfather of eight. He will also be missed by his cherished Forster brother and sisters-in-law and their families. Friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday, October 16 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a private family service the following day. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
