Obituary for Anna Maria Pugliese
Anna Maria Pugliese (nee Fiore)
Anna passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family in her home on September 30, 2020, at the age of 81.
Anna was born and raised in San Giovanni Incarico, Italy, along with her six siblings. In her early years, Anna learned and mastered the art of shorthand, sewing, knitting and cooking. After marrying her beloved husband Peter, of 62 years, they came to Canada where they started their life and family.
Loving mother of Angela (John), Laura (Randy) and Matthew (Lesley). Cherished and proud Nonna of Alicia (Andy), Anthony (Zarra), Natalie (Dani), Melany, Julia (Tomi), Peter (Erica) and Samuel.
Anna had a special love of horses and thoroughly enjoyed her many years as an equine hydro therapist. Anna was happiest with a dog by her side. She will be greatly missed by her faithful companion Gioia. Anna will be remembered for her selfless ways, her intense love for her family, her pizza and pizzelle, love of gardening and the thoughtful, beautiful little things she did to make you smile.
A special thank you to LINH - Brant County Outreach Community Program – Dr. McNeil and Shelley, the Bayshore nurses especially Eva, Christina, Karen, Mark, Fatima and Mike for their special care. Thank you also to all of the personal support workers.
Due to COVID-19, the family will be holding a private service with a celebration of life to be held at a later date for extended family and friends.
