DISIMONE, Maria – it is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Maria surrounded by her family at her home on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, in her 85th year. Maria was born in Castelli, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1961. Beloved wife of Joseph for 59 years. Devoted, loving mother of Josie (John) Di Sabatino, Anna DiSimone and Nicholas DiSimone. Proud nonna of Deanna (Adam) Laurette, Stephanie Di Sabatino and Jacob Di Sabatino. Dedicated great grandmother to precious Rayn Laurette. Predeceased by her dear parents Chasina and Francesco Liberati. Cherished sister to Enrico, Palmarino, Antonio, Asvaldo, Vinicio, and Sophia Liberati. Caring aunt to many nephews and nieces in Canada and Italy. Maria will always be remembered for her generosity and hospitality to her family and friends. Arrangements entrusted to the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street. A private family service will be held. Burial to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
