Obituary for Romeo Anthony Rosato

It is with extreme sadness that the family of Romeo Rosato announce his passing at the Brantford General Hospital on July 20, 2020 in his 65th year, after a courageous battle with leukemia, with his family by his side. Predeceased by his loving wife Angela (2015). Loving and devoted father of Anthony and Paul. Much loved brother of Dominic (Valerie) Rosato and Anna (Angelo) Pizzacalla. Dearly loved uncle to Kristie and Brad Lestition (Michael and Norah), Lucie and Larry Malcolm (Luke, Jordan, Justin), and Frank Pizzacalla. Romeo will be missed by his sister and brother-in-law, Maria (Agostino) Bagnoli, nieces and nephews, Patrick and Courtney Bagnoli (Isla and Siena), Daniela and Benny Chiavetti (Matteo, Stefano, Gabriel and Olivia). Predeceased by his loving parents Lucia and Tormentino Rosato and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Ida and Pardo Ventresca. He will be so dearly missed by his friends and family. Romeo was a long time employee of the Grand Erie District School Board. We extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of the BGH Palliative Care Unit for their care and compassion. Due to COVID-19, the services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation, Palliative Care Unit.
Dad
You held my hand, when I was small,
You caught me when I fell,
The hero of my childhood,
And of latter years as well.
Every time I think of you,
My heart just fills with pride,
And though I’ll always miss you, dad,
I know you’re by my side.
In laughter and in sorrow,
In sunshine and in rain,
I know you’re watching over me,
Until we meet again.
