Obituary for Maria Jozefa Ceglowska

It is with a great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Ceglowska on July 7, 2020 peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Born on March 17, 1948 in Pniow, Poland. She was the daughter of late Michal and Michalina Lachowska, sister of late Stanislaw, Zbigniew, and Zygmund Lachowski and wife of late Henryk Ceglowski. She is survived by her loving children Artur (Elwira) Ceglowski, Agnieszka (Wojciech) Makary, Anna (Robert) Waite. Her grandchildren Marek, Ania (Paul) Robert, Joanna, Abigail, Evelyn, Isabelle. Her brother Eugeniusz Lachowski. As well as her loving and devoted partner Robert Thornton. Maria came to Canada in 1988 to start a new life with her beloved mother. She worked very hard to be able to provide everything she possibly could for her family. But what she provided them with the most was love. She was a dedicated mother and lived her life teaching her children that family is the most important thing in the world. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She loved being Babcia to seven of her grandchildren and sharing her Polish traditions and culture was very important to her. She enjoyed travelling and dancing with her loving partner Bob. Cooking and baking was her passion. Her happiest moments were enjoying home cooked meals surrounded by family, friends and lots of laughter. Many will remember her for her big caring heart and willingness to help anyone. She will be missed dearly by so many. Forever in our hearts. Kochamy Cie Mamusiu! The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Juravinski Cancer Center as well as Brantford General Hospital.
