Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald (2017) for 68 years. Much loved mother of Randy (Marg), Deb Rush (the late Neil, 2011) and Terry. Cherished grandmother of Dustin Churchill and Tammy Wilks (Jesse) and great-grandmother of Sophia Wilks. Sylvia is survived by her sister Shirley of Brantford. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Alma Sutherland, sisters Betty and Irene and brothers John and Wilfred. Sylvia was the store Manager at Zeller’s for many years and was active with Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Mom loved sports, especially the Blue Jays and enjoyed playing cards and doing word search puzzles. The family would like to thank the staff at Charlotte Villa and PSW’s for their care and support and the Doctors and Nurses at the Brantford General Hospital for their care during Mom’s time in the hospital. Cremation has taken place and the family will have a private family graveside service at Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.
