Obituary for Thilda Terez "Tilly" Mannen

Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late John Mannen (1997). Loving mother of Tracy Tottle (Joe Roy) and Sherry Carter (Glen) and Jacqueline Mannen . Cherished grandmother of Brandon, Dustan and Nicole Carter and Peyton and Emma Tottle. Loving Great-grandmother “GG” to Tucker and Nova-Lynn. Dear sister of Margaret Goller, of Wakaw, Saskatchewan. Tilly was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Agnes Zimmer as well as her brother Joe Zimmer and sisters Cecilia Horn and Mary Poth. Tilly made a lasting impression on many people. Her quick wit and humour will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know this kind, caring, gentle lady. Tilly had many talents and was a very creative lady. She loved reconditioning old fur coats into hand sewn teddy bears, that will be forever keepsakes for those who were gifted one of her creations. She spent endless hours creating the most amazing masterpieces in Paper Tole, which will be forever cherished by her family. Her hands were never idle, she always had to be busy. One of her biggest joys was being a part of the St. George Lawn Bowling Club. She loved to spend time outdoors bowling and looked forward to her Hanover Weekend away every year. Cremation has taken place and Tilly has been reunited with John at St. George Cemetery in a Private Family Ceremony. Donations in memory of Tilly can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date to celebrate this incredible lady that left us far to early.
