Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late John Mannen (1997). Loving mother of Tracy Tottle (Joe Roy) and Sherry Carter (Glen) and Jacqueline Mannen . Cherished grandmother of Brandon, Dustan and Nicole Carter and Peyton and Emma Tottle. Loving Great-grandmother “GG” to Tucker and Nova-Lynn. Dear sister of Margaret Goller, of Wakaw, Saskatchewan. Tilly was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Agnes Zimmer as well as her brother Joe Zimmer and sisters Cecilia Horn and Mary Poth. Tilly made a lasting impression on many people. Her quick wit and humour will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know this kind, caring, gentle lady. Tilly had many talents and was a very creative lady. She loved reconditioning old fur coats into hand sewn teddy bears, that will be forever keepsakes for those who were gifted one of her creations. She spent endless hours creating the most amazing masterpieces in Paper Tole, which will be forever cherished by her family. Her hands were never idle, she always had to be busy. One of her biggest joys was being a part of the St. George Lawn Bowling Club. She loved to spend time outdoors bowling and looked forward to her Hanover Weekend away every year. Cremation has taken place and Tilly has been reunited with John at St. George Cemetery in a Private Family Ceremony. Donations in memory of Tilly can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date to celebrate this incredible lady that left us far to early.

Tilly was our neighbour on Beaver Cres for many years. She was so kind and generous. When we were putting in our pool in 2000, she generously offered some perennials from her garden. We moved from Brantford in 2018 and left our street, but heard from another neighbour that Tilly had passed away. She was a wonderful, sweet woman and will be missed. I am so sorry for your loss.

We were very saddened to hear of Tilly's passing. She was a lawn bowling partner and great friend of many years to my mother, Eleanor McDonell. We will miss her calls reminding Mom about lawn bowling dates and times and telling my mom what shirt to were, they liked to match! May you be dancing on the greens in Glory Tilly, until we meet again.

We have been so blessed to have been able to spend quality time with Aunt Tilly. We will miss her visits ... our hearts are sad. Sending all our love to her daughters Jackie, Sherry and Tracy and families.

Tilly was one of the most beloved members of the St. George Lawn Bowling Club. She was not only a great bowler, but was tremendous fun as well. Tilly was always upbeat, she was competitive but always demonstrated the absolute best sportsmanship. George, our Dragon Mascot and Lawn Bowling Ambassador, is very upset that he won't be getting more of Tilly's wonderful hugs.
There is a very special bowling shot that we call a "Tilly Shot" at the club. It will have even more meaning now.
There is also a special dance that Tilly taught us. It goes without saying that we will all do a few "Tilly Twirls" whenever we think of her which will be often.
Our sincere condolences to Tilly's family and all who were fortunate enough to have held Tilly close in their lives.

She was a very special Great auntie I remember all the visits when she would come to Grandmas in Wakaw. Always looked forward to her hugs and kisses, and the first thing she would always say to me with her big loving voice was " And how is Dusty" always made me giggle. Sending condolences and hoping your pain is somehow eased today. Love and Respect to you all.
