Surrounded by her family, we sadly announce her passing on March 10, 2020 in her 79th year. Camping was a joy she shared with her husband Gordie, who predeceased her in 2017. Marlene leaves fond memories to her children Cheryl Adams (John), Douglas (Sharon), David (Jeanette), Mark (Cheryl) and Michael (Wendy). Cherished by her 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Loving sister to Glenda Sage, Bill and Larry Long. Also predeceased by her chosen son Randy Ferguson and her parents Nova and Frank Long. Marlene will also be missed by her nieces, nephews and extended family. She had a passion for sewing, which led her dream of owning a Bridal Shop. She found great pleasure in knitting and crocheting for family and friends. Now that embroidery piece lays on the table unfinished, as her busy hands lay still. Praise and heartfelt thanks go to the Palliative Care Unit Staff of the BGH, for their care and compassion of Marlene and her family. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak Marlene's celebration of life has been postponed until a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stedman Community Hospice or the Palliative Care Unit at the BGH, would be greatly appreciated.
