Obituary for Vincenzo DeDominicis


DEDOMINICIS, Vincenzo of Brantford, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, in his 88th year. Vincenzo was born and grew up in Castelli, Italy, where he met his wife and true other half, Maria (Leonetti). In 1955 Vincenzo immigrated to Canada to marry Maria - this would be the beginning of a 65 year long journey together. They soon expanded their family with sons Danny and Deo, as Vincenzo built a living from the ground up - learning a new language and co-founding Castelli Bakery as well as owning Talk of the Town Billiards. Ultimately inspiring the building of Echo Place Car Wash, alongside his sons. He was his wife’s rock, a strong and determined father, a reliable brother and uncle, and an undoubtedly proud and loving Nonno that instilled the importance of family everyday. Vincenzo is survived by his wife, Maria, two sons, Danny (Allison) and Deo (Tina). Adored by his grandchildren, Brie (Rob) Joynt, Hailey, Micheal, Dante (Jordan), Anthony (Anita), and Stefan. And the added joy of great grandchildren Lauren and Cooper Joynt. Eldest brother to (late) Anna and (late) Eugenio DiFranceso, Costanza and (late) Giovanni DiFrancesco,Giuseppe and Argentina,Tommaso and Elisa,(Late) Giovanni and (late) Maria,(late) Lea and Tony DiSimone, Dino and Josie, Mary and Moses DiSabatino.Devoted brother in law to (late) Dino and Mary Leonetti, (late) Fred and Linda Leonetti, Josie and Joe Iarocci, and Fausto and Margaret Leonetti. He will be missed greatly. Friends and family will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly Street, Brantford on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Assumption Mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
