Obituary

Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital in her 70th year. Beloved wife and best friend of Bob for over 45 years, who was by her side when she passed. Proud mother of Pam and Jeff (Alex), dear sister of Tina Frost (Stephen) and sister-in-law of Sheila Lee (Dave), and loving aunt of Monica (Cameron), Shane (Fawne), Justin (Matt), Jenn (Lee), Christine (Tim), and Kevin (Courtney). Predeceased by her parents Esther and “Funzy” Alonzo and Bob’s parents Isabel and Bob Killeleagh. Above all, those who knew her will cherish memories of her honest and genuine nature, her charming personality, and just how much she loved being a wife and mother. Linda will also be remembered for her talents in fashion, design, fitness, and dance, and the passion with which she pursued her interests. The family would like to thank the staff of the Brantford General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion during Linda’s last days. A memorial reception will be held at the Charing Cross Reception Suites; adjacent to the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday, January 10 from 1-3 pm, with a time of sharing at 2 pm. For those who would like to make a donation, the family would appreciate contributions to either the Canadian Association for Mental Health or the Canadian Cancer Society.

I remember spending all day at the Malins' house and always feeling so at home. Linda always kept me fed, with capicola sandwiches and "lasagna that actually stood". She was a loving person and I will remember her fondly when thinking of my days growing up.

We loved it when Linda was able to make it to the detention room (aka Duke on Park pub) for our Friday night get togethers. Linda was always very proud to talk to us about Jeff and Pam, and was always so lovingly cared for by Bob. We will certainly miss her.

Linda had a zest for life. She loved spending time with her friends, sharing stories and reminiscing. Linda proudly shared her two children’s accomplishments with us. My last lovely memory of Linda was at the Christmas Open House that we all attended. Margot and I were lucky enough to spend time with her chatting about Christmas plans. She looked stunning in her lovely outfit, with her favourite shoes and matching clutch. We will miss you Linda.
