Obituary for Kerri Chambers

Kerri grew up in Blackville, NB surrounded by a large, loving family. She read voraciously, had a great imagination, and enjoyed spending time with friends. In her early 20s Kerri's adventurous, daring spirit led her to Toronto where she found the love of her life, Darryl Chambers. Together they shared a special bond, lived life to the fullest, and always had a sparkle in their eyes for one another. They raised their children, Tyanna and Noah, in Brantford, ON and surrounded themselves with many friends who became part of their family. Kerri was a compassionate, knowledgeable nurse, in the Emergency department at the Brantford Hospital, who was loved and respected by her colleagues. The family truly appreciated the tenderness of care and stories told by her work friends during her final weeks in the hospital as she bravely continued to battle against ALS. Kerri will forever be loved and remembered by her husband, Darryl Chambers and their children Tyanna and Noah. Cherished always by her parents, Jack and Amber McCormack; siblings, Kathy McCormack (Kim Malcher), Nancy McCormack (Jason Gordon), John McCormack (Jill Vickers); and grandmother Lois Corney. Predeceased by her mother and father-in-law Val and Pete Chambers and grandparents Julia and Karl McCormack and Hubert Corney Kerri also leaves behind a large group of family and friends who will always remember her big, beautiful smile, her loving embrace, and her spirit to love life. Family and friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street. Brantford on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Toll Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11am. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the ALS Society in memory of Kerri.
