After a courageous battle with cancer, John passed away peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice on November 19, 2019 at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of 48 years to Elizabeth (nee Zilahi). Loving father to Patrick (Allyson) and Jason (Marina). Proud Nagypapa of Makayla and Gavin. Predeceased by his brother Joseph, and survived by his sister-in-law Margaret, his nephew Joseph and niece Jessica (Alex). John will also be missed by his brothers-in-law and his sisters-in-law, Jancsi, Piri, Maca, Inci, Sanyi and Tibi of Hungary. Special thanks to the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Stedman Community Hospice, and the nurses, PSW’s and staff of Bayshore. Also a heartfelt thank you to family and friends for all their support. The family will receive friends at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
