It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Giuseppe at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, November 10, 2019. Giuseppe is reunited with his wife Maria (nee Cupoli), 2015. Loving and teaching father of Gino (Cindy) and Bruno Squeo. Loving Nonno of Joseph (Brittany), Daniela (Tyler) and Joshua Squeo. Dear brother of Tony (Carmela) Squeo and Gilda (Damiano) Pietropaolo. Joe is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Luigino and Antonia Squeo as well as his mother-in-law Luisa and father-in-law Vito Cupoli. Joe was a long standing and proud member of the Brantford Airforce Club, Rossini Lodge and the Lega Cellese. Joe immigrated to Canada in 1961 with the love of his life and many work skills but accepted what ever he could find to raise his soon to be born family. Finally he established himself in home building and interior and exterior wood working. He was a true artist with wood construction and his pride showed in every project. His life long goal was to help his boys in any way that he could and he was always there to help with solid guidance and advice. Our father and mother sought the Canadian dream, worked very hard and made many sacrifices. The dream came true. The family will receive friends at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers to be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly Street, Brantford on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Joe can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to Diabetes Canada.
