Obituary for Lloyd William Vaughan

Passed away peacefully at Park Lane Terrace, Paris on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Ann (McLaren) for 65 years. Loving father to Christine, her husband Tim Bowen and loved by granddaughter Sarah-Ann. Predeceased by his mother Mabel, brothers Don, Doug, Norm and sister Beverly. Lloyd will be missed by many nieces & nephews in Ontario, Nova Scotia, B.C. and Alberta. Lloyd retired from S.C. Johnson & Son (Johnson’s Wax) after 35 years. He was a charter member of Greenbrier Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir for many years. He was a First Tenor with the Brant Men of Song for 28 years. A member of Dundson Legion Branch #461 for over 50 years. Member of Doric Lodge #121 & St. George Lodge #243 for over 50 years. A past President of the Shriners Club of Brantford, and a member of Mocha Shriners in London. Lloyd and Ann spent their summers at Pine Lake Campground, Bayfield ON for 29 great years. He loved playing “Pepper” cards with his J.R. friends on Tuesday afternoons. Special appreciation for the excellent care and support Lloyd received this past year from Dr. Catherine Hanley, Nurse Dee and the Staff & PSW’s at Park Lane Terrace. Friends will be received at TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Friday, November 15th at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Greenbrier Presbyterian Church, 11 White Oaks Ave. Brantford, ON N3R 5N8, or the charity of your choice.
