JONES, George William (November 21, 1917 – August 11, 2019) - In his 102nd year, peacefully at the John Noble Home. Beloved husband of 63 years to the late M. Margaret nee Barrett (2006). Dear father of G. William (Bill) Jones. Survived by his sister-in-law Leorene, nephews Brian and Gary (Yolanda) and their family Brandon, Brittany, Greg and Andrew. Predeceased by his Brother Ron and parents George W. Jones and Elsie Darby Jones. George served St. James Church, Brantford for over 25 years on the board and as Warden. He worked for 30 years at Stelco Brantford Works and was a founding member of the Brantford Model Railroad Club.We thank the wonderful staff at John Noble Home - Cockshutt Place, for the loving care that George received. Family and friends will be received at the Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service to be held Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at St. James Church, Dublin at Grand Streets, Brantford at 1 pm. Internment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. James Church, Brantford or the Lung Association would be appreciated.
