Passed away peacefully, in the loving arms of his family at the Stedman Community Hospice on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Elaine. Loving father of David A. (Tara), Leslie (Joe) Butler, Neil (Cathy) Simpson and Tracy (Jeff) MacMillan. Proud grandfather of Cole (Bailee), Bailey, Madison, Nolan (Jessie), Alaina, Britney, Amber, Stuart, Reece and Amy. Dear brother of Audrey (Roy) Bolton, Jim (Linda), Larry (Carol), Betty (Richard) Kopczyk and Rod (Bea). David will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. David was passionate about people and relationships. He was active in St. Mark’s Parish and the Men’s Group there, as well as participating in events with the IOOF and spending time with his Carving friends. The family will receive friends at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 155 Memorial Drive, Brantford at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David can be made to the Stedman Community Hospice.
