It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Spry announces his passing, peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, July 9th, 2019 at the age of 75 years. Loving Father of Ryan (Michelle) and Shannon. Doug will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Sophia and David. He will be missed but not forgotten by his sister Susan Ashmore. Doug is predeceased by his parents Harry and Ethel Spry (Brunne). He will be sadly missed by former spouse Susan Spry. He will also be dearly missed by his grand-dogs Odie and Tucker and many other family members and friends. A native from Wingham Ont, Doug enjoyed many sports including curling and baseball. After his career as a CFO of a Distillery Company and running his own distribution company, he enjoyed many years of retirement traveling, especially to his favourite place the Dominican Republic. A Memorial Service celebrating Douglas’ Life will be held at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
