Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, Shirley Johnson in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Grant Wright Johnson (2016) for 57 years. Loving mother of Debbie Murray and Tracey Johnson (Ferdie Barnett). Predeceased by her son Mark (2002). Much loved mother-in-law of Linda Woodman and Ed Murray. Precious grandmother of Ashley Scott, Patty (Darren), Justin, Danielle and Brianne. Great-grandmother of Jacob, Matthew and Abby. Predeceased by her brothers Glen and Loren Giles. Shirley will be missed by her dear friends Joe and Lois Carrier, Dave Elkin, Esther Johnson and Elsie, many nieces, nephews and extended family members, especially her cats Ginger and Smokey. Shirley was a long time volunteer at Brierwood Gardens as well as a member of TOPS. The family will receive friends at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 12 noon until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations in memory of Shirley can be made to the Brant SPCA or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
