Obituary for Roy Edward Blower

Roy passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital in his 94th year, with his devoted wife of 72 years by his side. Survived by his cherished wife Marion (Reeve); children Paul, Susan and Philip (Mary Anne); grandchildren Robyn (Jason), Sara, Ashleigh (Mark) and Jenna; great grandchildren Aiden, Marcus, Naomi and Rachel. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Elsie Blower and his siblings Norman, Bill, Tom, Kate and Evelyn. Roy served as a wireless air gunner in the RCAF 1943-1946 (18 months overseas). He was a long time employee of Massey Ferguson and an active member of St. James Anglican Church. He was an avid euchre player at his church. Roy and his wife Marion travelled extensively in their retirement years where Roy’s talent as a passionate photographer captured many special moments. His great sense of humour was appreciated by all who knew him. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 25th at 11 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery (section GN). Reception will follow at the Charing Cross Reception Suites, adjacent to the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross St. Brantford.
