Giovanni was born in Pofi, Frosinone Italy on July 25, 1929 and arrived in Brantford in 1957 to marry the love of his life, Caterina. Together they worked tirelessly to provide a better life for their family. Giovanni understood the importance of a good education for his children and ensured they had every opportunity possible. His love for his family was unconditional and he always treated everyone with respect.

Giovanni was so proud of his 34 year tenure at KeepRite as an assembly line supervisor. He touched the lives of so many people helping them to immigrate to Canada, settle in Brantford and find employment.

Giovanni was loved by both young and old. With a great sense of humor, positive outlook on life and calm demeanor, he always had great advice to offer and told the best stories especially of his days in air-force service training in Italy. He loved being out in his garden, playing bocce in the summer, and travelling with his friends and family. His strong Catholic faith and devotion to San Pio and San Rocco were unwavering.

We are so grateful for the many healthcare professionals that have cared for Giovanni throughout his journey. A heartfelt thank you to all of our family and friends for your incredible outpouring of help and support. We truly appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness.

Friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street on Friday May 31, 2019 from 1-4pm and 6-9pm. Parish prayers on Friday at 5:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 133 Murray Street, on Saturday June 1, 2019 at 11am. Entombment Our Lady of the Assumption Mausoleum, Holy Cross Cemetery, 620 Governors Rd E, Paris, Ontario. Following the Interment, family and friends are invited back to the Charing Cross Reception Suites for a reception and Celebration of Life in honour of Giovanni.

In memory of Giovanni, donations may be made to the Stedman Community Hospice or Juravinski Hospital-Hepato Biliary Department.

Papa, we will love you always and we will miss you forever.
We will always remember your words, “non perdere la fede, non disperare, hai sempre speranza”
