HOUNSLOW, Gordon Wesley - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon Wesley Hounslow on May 20, 2019 at Brierwood Gardens in Brantford, following a courageous, 20-year battle with Parkinson’s disease. Gordon was much loved by his wife Linda, daughters Michelle (Simon Darby), Jennifer and Kimberly (Brien Clermont), grandchildren Emma and Aiden, and mother-in-law Nordene. We will miss his calm strength, deep kindness, understated intelligence, persistent work ethic, and the wonderful example he set on how we should treat others—family, friend or stranger. Gordon was a farmer and talented welder, who enjoyed working outside on his farm and spending the weekends with his family. Although he was a quiet man, he loved a good one-on-one chat, especially about anything to do with hockey or cars. A private family service will take place. Donations in Gordon’s memory to Parkinson’s Canada would be appreciated.
