Passed away, with family by his side, at Hardy Terrace Long Term Care Home on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the age of 95. Loving father of Jim, Joan (Mike) and Janet (Rick). Matt will be dearly missed by his sister Fema, nieces, nephews, and his life long friends from the farming community of Troy. Matt loved old cars and for five decades was an active member of the Historical Automobile Society of Canada. He enjoyed time behind the wheel on many cross country tours with members of the Iroquonic chapter of H.A.S.C. Matt's other passion that kept him active was collecting antique farm equipment. He travelled throughout the province looking for plows and wrenches to add to his collection. Matt also enjoyed his Saturday mornings with the 'Troy Coffee Boys'. At his request cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to TOLL FUNERAL HOME. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Troy Women's Institute Hall located at 2295 Highway 5, Troy, ON.
