After a long fought illness, it is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Ronald Fredrick Barton with his wife by his side, October 19, 1950 - May 11, 2019. He is predeceased by his father G. Fredrick Barton, son William, brother Dennis Barton and granddaughter Denver Doolittle, survived by his wife Cynthia Barton (White), mother Edith Barton (White), son Andy Barton, step daughters; Melissa (Rob) White, Crystal (Gary) (Daniel), Tanya (David) Skye, Michelle (Jason) Agounie, Brandy (Harvey) Powless, sister-in-laws; Judy (Brian), Carlene (Merrick) White, Ginger white, Tara (Brandon) White, brother-in-laws; Carlton White, Terry (Eve) White, nieces/nephews; Carolyn, Michelle, and John Barton, grandchildren; Tamika, Ashley, Kessler, Brooke, Brandon, Ty, James, Raven, Gabrielle, Brody, Jason Jr., Jayden, Fayelynn, Kruize, Macy, Ryder, Portia, Max, great-grandchildren; Teenie, Kiki, Shaylee, Mila, Quade, Killian, and Chase. He will also be fondly remembered by many extended family members and friends. Ron was retired from Native Horizons Treatment Centre and volunteered for many events associated with Brant Native Housing and affiliated programs. We wish to give a special thanks and acknowledgement for the compassionate care received by the Palliative Care staff at the Brantford General Hospital. Visitation will be held at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Sunday, May 12th, 2019 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, May 13th, 2019 at 3:00 pm. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Participation House Brantford would be greatly appreciated.
