It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria, surrounded by her family at the Stedman Hospice on Thursday February 28, 2019. She was in her 88th year. Reunited with her beloved husband of 58 years, Gilberto Di Meo (2016). Much loved mother of Panfilo and his wife Laurie, Anna and her husband Allen Mannen and her late infant son. Proud grandmother of Daniel (Liz), David (Samantha), Kyle (Jeni), Kassandra (Dylan) and Kristen (Terry). Great Nonna to Kaylee, Kiauna, Evan, Lincoln, and Rowan. Reunited with her parents Agata and Antonio D’Eramo and dear siblings Dominica Pietroleonardo, Donatella Di Ramo (Benedetto) and Alberto D’Eramo (Lucia). Survived by brother in law Guido Pietroleonardo, Mario and Lucia Di Meo of Italy and Concetta Luciani (The late Pietro Luciani). Maria will be missed dearly by many nieces, nephews and friends. Cherished memories are left with her dear friends Maria Conti and Pina Oddi. Special thanks to the nursing staff of the VON, especially Sandy Lee who assisted Maria with gentle love and care during her final weeks and also to the Stedman Hospice for their care and support during difficult times. . Family and friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Sunday, March 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 4th, 2019 at St.Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly Street, Brantford at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Paris. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stedman Community Hospice.
