It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Alice Sarkisian, known to many as “Sarki”, on Saturday, January 5th, 2019 at the Brantford General Hospital. Alice was predeceased by her parents John (1977) and Mary (2001). Alice was also predeceased by sisters Rose Robertson and Margaret, brother Koran, and her nephew Michael Sarkisian. She is survived by her nieces Janine Lalonde (Andre), Lynn Henley (Dave) and Michele Ashworth. Cherished memories are left with her great-niece Kaitlyn and her four great-nephews Brandon, Blair, Cameron and Brin. Her passion in life was sports, playing basketball in her high school years and she was also a member of the Brantford Badminton Club. Alice was an avid golfer and was a member of the Brantford Golf and Country Club where she won the Ladies Club Championship in 1971. Alice loved her family dearly and she had many friends, whom she loved very much and who enriched her life. The family would like to extend our thanks to the critical care staff at the Brantford General Hospital and the dedicated PSW’s who visited her home daily. A private service and family dinner at the Golf and Country Club has taken place, as per Alice’s wishes. A celebration of life will be held at the Charing Cross Reception Suites, adjacent to the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Sunday, January 20th, 2019 from 2pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Stedman Community Hospice or St. Joseph’s Lifecare would be appreciated.

Alice was an amazing generous woman. Any golfing skill I had I can only thank Alice for taking her time to teach me . It is because of her I went to the Ontario juniors as a young golfer and competed at that time along side Judy Ellis who eventually turned pro . God bless you Alice. Knowing you was a gift from God and now He has called you home. RIP my friend.

Alice will be missed by many. She was a woman who lived life her way and kept her door open for family, friends and those in need. Alice was always proud of her Armenian roots and shared so much history and knowledge. Our prayers are with you Alice. Hope there is a golf course in heaven. Bob and Cheryl Latulippe

I have wonderful memories of Aunt Alice and the Sarkisian family growing up as a little girl. Their home was always filled with people, food and love! Aunt Alice lived a good life and enjoyed her family and friends very much. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, friend and a very good hearted Aunt. She was very kind and generous and always ready to help in her younger days. I will miss our talks on the telephone Aunt Alice. You are now with your family whom you missed very much.......Our deepest condolences, Marlene Stephan-Pinard & Gord Pinard and Dr. Paul and Frankie Stephan and families
