Peacefully passed away at home on Monday, December 24, 2018, in his 44th year. Beloved son of Robert and Cora McDonald. Much loved brother of Bryce and sister-in-law of Melissa McDonald. Cherished nephew of Nancy and Bruce Hankinson and dear cousin of Nathan and Jeremy Hankinson. He will also be missed by his close friend Chris Wickson. Matthew was predeceased by his grandparents Edith and Carl Beneke and Shirley and Douglas McDonald. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Matthew can be made to Rosewood House or to the Brant County Mental Health Unit.
