Peacefully, surrounded by four generations of loved ones on December 6th, 2018 in his 87th year. Elmer was the loving husband to Irene (Fair) for over 63 years. Father to Marjorie (Mark) and Brian (Kathy), Papa to Rachel (James) and Hilary (Graham) and Great-Papa to Haydon and Ezra. Elmer spent his working life in the fuel business, and as owner of Smith Fuels. He was a Life Member of the Ancaster Agricultural Society. Special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Lifecare for their compassionate care for Elmer and his family. Family and friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 2-4p.m and 7-9p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:00p.m. Interment at Stenabaugh Cemetery.
