Born in Raiano, Abruzzo Italy, December 21, 1939 passed away peacefully at home in Waterford Ontario on November 9, 2018 in her 79th year surrounded by her loving family. Best friend and loving wife of Peter Overdevest for over 53 years. Proud mother of her sons Bill Overdevest and Frank (Klair) Overdevest and cherished and loving grandmother of Cayden and Madison Overdevest. Survived by her sister in law Pat Lucente and her daughters Susan Rizzo (Nick), Rosanne Stevens (Larry) and Patricia Dawson (Tim) who were there for her till the end. Also survived by her sister's children Theresa Zingale, Arizona, Biago Zingale and Tony Zingale both of Ohio. Survived by many other relatives and friends in Canada, the US and Italy. Predeceased by her parents Franco Lucente (1941) and Assunta Lucente (1969) her brother Desio Lucente (2017) her sister Carla Zingale (1969) and her brother in law Leo Zingale (1983). Franca was a woman who loved her family above all else. She ran the family business garden centre for many years. She loved to cook and she loved to travel. She will be deeply missed. A beautiful strong willed woman to the end, who lived life on her terms. Special thanks to Roxanne and Jennifer.
