Peacefully surrounded by his best friend and loving wife Alice (Nee McBride), family and friends. Walter passed away at the Stedman Community Hospice after a valiant fight with cancer, on October 19th 2018 in his 67th year. Cherished father of Danny O’Brien (Brooke), Ewan MacLeod (Antonella), Jessie Cadieux (Stephane), Arthur Churcher (Nathalia) and Alexis Churcher (David King). Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Walter is survived by his siblings Jean Anderson (Jim), Beverly Peterson, Marilyn Cheski (Carl), Donny Peterson (Kelly), Bobby Peterson (Joyce), sister-in-law Doris Jensen-Peterson and their families. Walter will be sadly missed by his long time friends Winton Miller and Opal Logan. Predeceased by his parents Carl and Muriel, daughter Barbara and her son Brian, and by his eldest brother George. Donations may be made in remembrance of Walter to the Stedman Community Hospice or a charity of your choice.
