Peacefully after a short illness at Charlotte Villa, Brantford on Tuesday September 4, 2018. Elmer Balla in his 85th year. Dear brother of Elvira (the late Joe) Nemeth. Loved uncle to Lesley and Franco Piccoli, and Mark and Anna Nemeth. Great uncle to Marc, Alexandra and Andrew. Pre-deceased by his parents Leslie and Matilda Balla. Elmer was a welder with Local 46 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union (Nelson Welding), and a former member of the Don Mills Rod and Gun Club. Elmer retired to Brantford in 1995 to be close to family. The family extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Charlotte Villa, the V.O.N. and Dr. S. Elliott for their care of Elmer. Family and friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday September 7, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Cremation.
